Zendra Navigator is a configurable digital clinical pathway and workflow automation platform designed to streamline neurodevelopmental pathways, with a particular focus on Adult ADHD assessment and treatment.

Built around an evidence-based ADHD protocol, the platform automates key stages of the referral, screening, assessment, and treatment process, reducing administrative burden and improving pathway throughput. It is already widely used in children and young people (CYP) ADHD services in Ireland, supporting more than 80,000 users, and is now being mobilised for UK deployment through partnerships with NHS organisations and academic evaluators.

The Navigator provides a single digital touchpoint for patients and clinicians, digitising preassessment measures, enabling automated scoring, managing waiting lists, supporting clinicians with templated report generation, and improving medication monitoring workflows. For services experiencing extreme demand, the platform offers a structured way to reduce manual workload, address missing information, and improve readiness for clinical appointments.

Zendra Navigator is codeveloped with Trinity College Dublin and is continually refined through realworld deployments.

Core Functions

Digital Pre‑Assessment and Screening

The platform digitises referral forms, pre‑assessment measures, and ADHD‑relevant questionnaires. It automates scoring and gathers complete information prior to appointments, reducing the need for staff to chase missing data. This supports more efficient triage and assessment preparation.

Automated Workflow and Report Generation

Zendra Navigator includes templated report generation, automated letter creation, and pre‑populated assessment outputs. This reduces time spent writing clinical documentation and promotes greater standardisation across clinicians.

Waiting List Management & Opt‑In Automation

A real‑time digital dashboard provides visibility of pathway bottlenecks, waiting list size, and patient activity. Automated opt‑in processes cleanse inactive cases and maintain an up‑to‑date caseload, improving flow and prioritisation.

Medication Titration & Treatment Monitoring

The platform supports medication titration by enabling structured observations, reminders, and digital capture of symptom and side‑effect data, reducing reliance on paper‑based follow-up and manual staff reminders. Functionality is being strengthened as part of a medical device development pathway.

Configurable Digital Pathway Templates

Zendra Navigator is highly configurable, allowing services to adapt forms, questionnaires, workflows, and templates to local clinical practice. This flexibility is valuable for adult ADHD pathways with varied referral routes and assessment structures.

Regulatory Compliance

Navigator has been developed with a strong compliance framework aligned to NHS, EU and US standards:

  • ISO 13485:2016 certified for medicaldevice software development.

  • Compliant with IEC 62304, DCB0129/0160, and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 for electronic records and signatures.

  • Full Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification.

  • NHS DSPT: Rated “Standards Exceeded.”

  • Undergoing development as a Class IIa medical device with a Clinical Investigation Pilot planned to support MHRA registration. Zendra has prior MHRA certification experience.

Price Model and Cost

Navigator is delivered as a SaaS (Software as a Service) platform with licensing and implementation costs linked to configuration, pathway scope and patient volume.

Costs reflect medicalgrade software development, technical integrations, and continuous compliance activities consistent with ISO 13485.

Clinical Validation and Evidence

Navigator is underpinned by the ADMiRE clinical protocol, which is:

  • Validated and endorsed through multiple peerreviewed publications.

  • In national use across Ireland’s public ADHD services.

  • Supported by significant research funding and several national awards.

Published evidence includes:

  • Peerreviewed evaluations of ADMiRE’s clinical outcomes (Irish Journal of Psychological Medicine).

  • High serviceuser satisfaction results (PubMed 35361298).

  • National utilisation evidence across Ireland (PubMed 38825868).

Navigator deployments:

  • Launched in 2025 across public ADHD services in Ireland, with outcomes under analysis by Trinity College Dublin (publication expected February 2026).

  • Selected by an NHS service for implementation beginning December 2025.

  • Early traction in the US market and broader UK interest.

Integration and Compatibility

Zendra Navigator is built for interoperability across diverse healthcare environments:

  • APIfirst architecture, meaning all functionality can be accessed programmatically.

  • Uses FHIR V4 and SNOMED CT for structured data and interoperability.

  • Proven integration with Epic and Cerner in other regions; NHS integration pathways supported by Zendra’s technical team.

  • Compliant with NHS DSPT, GDPR, HIPAA and thirdparty CREST penetration testing.

Service User Design / Involvement

Navigator has been developed through extensive codesign, incorporating the lived experiences of neurodivergent adults, parents, young people, educators, clinicians and advocacy groups.

Key usercentred design features include:

Designed for ADHD and Co-occurring Conditions

Navigator reduces executivefunction demands by:

  • Consolidating all steps into one place

  • Using predictable workflows and clear instructions

  • Providing automated reminders and structured pathways

  • Minimising cognitive load and task initiation barriers

Inclusive CoDesign Process

Five formal Design Thinking workshops were held (2022–2024), including stakeholders with ADHD, autism, diverse ethnic backgrounds, clinicians, service managers and advocacy groups such as ADHD Ireland. Codesign directly shaped decisions around sensory reduction, workflow clarity, and accessibility.

Digital Accessibility Standards

Navigator adheres to:

  • ISO 13485 usability engineering

  • IEC 62366 for humanfactors engineering

  • ISO 14971 for risk management

  • WCAG 2.1 web accessibility requirements

Navigator is delivered as a responsive web application that works across all standard browsers and devices, supporting broad accessibility in community, mental health, outpatient and pharmacy settings.

User feedback has been consistently strong across patient and clinician groups.
